Build it together
Partners & collaborators
This project needs input from people who understand tactile design, 3D printing, accessibility, fulfillment, and the blind and low-vision community.
Who might help
Where partners can help.
Blind and low-vision advisors
People who can test the tactile experience, help review website journeys, and explain what makes an object useful to explore.
3D design and print specialists
Makers who understand relief translation, materials, durability, and quality-control methods.
Community and fulfillment supporters
Groups that can help shape safe packaging, fair access, logistics, outreach, and financial sustainability.
Pilot partners
Help us test the process before we scale it.
Our immediate priorities are testing real prints, improving accessible communication, protecting private submissions, and establishing a repeatable process that can grow responsibly.
Any partner named publicly will be a confirmed collaborator who has agreed to be identified with the project.
Ways to contribute
- Review prototypes for tactile clarity
- Help test screen-reader and keyboard flows
- Advise on inclusive communication
- Share printing or design expertise
- Support materials and delivery costs
Long-term sponsors
Help make “free to the recipient” sustainable.
We are actively seeking organizational and corporate sponsors who share the goal of making personal photographs accessible through touch.
That support can begin with research and launch costs, but the larger vision is ongoing: sponsor-backed materials, printing, packaging, shipping, technology, and accessibility work that allow tactile photographs to remain free to the blind and low-vision community over the long term.
Ways organizations can participate
- Underwrite a group of tactile photo requests
- Sponsor printing materials or shipping
- Support accessibility testing and technology
- Provide recurring operational sponsorship
- Contribute relevant professional expertise
Interested in helping build it?
We’d be glad to connect with people, organizations, and companies whose experience or sponsorship can help shape the first tactile photographs and sustain the service for years to come.
